Jumbotrons are huge and are only getting bigger these days, and unfortunately, it appears George Washington University may be in the market for a new one.
That’s because, on Tuesday, their current Jumbotron collapsed and fell onto the court.
As you can see below, the situation doesn’t look good, as the Jumbotron and the court are both likely damaged:

Thankfully, no one was hurt. The school confirmed that the accident took place during maintenance on the Jumbotron:
The scoreboard was undergoing maintenance today and dropped unexpectedly from its lowered position just above the floor. Nobody was injured (thankfully) and the scene is being assessed for any damage.

Still, this could prove to be a costly mishap for the university, which is located in Washington D.C.
The Colonials’ men’s basketball team went 15-18 last year and play in the Atlantic-10 conference.
