Want to correct one thing. Aneesah Morrow nose is not fractured. Heard them say it was “busted” but I guess they meant bleeding and busted open. Lost in Southern translation. Still a gutty performance.

Original story:
LSU is a tough-minded basketball team under coach Kim Mulkey, and is going to go out giving everything it has. The Tigers were looking to get to the Final Four on Sunday, but were knocked off by the No. 1 overall seed UCLA, 72-65.
During the game, LSU’s star forward Aneesah Morrow broke her nose. That is the type of injury that would put a lot of athletes out for the game, but not Morrow.
She went back into the game to try and help LSU get the win, finishing with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
What made it even more impressive was the fact that Morrow didn’t even have a mask to put on. Rebecca Lobo was on the broadcast, and is one of the best women’s college basketball players of all time. She mentioned on the broadcast that she broke her nose 3 times in games, and was never able to go back into the game.
Morrow finished the season with 18.8 PPG and 13.7 RPG, and with her performance on Sunday, she is now 3rd all-time in LSU history for total rebounds. The Tigers end the season at 31-6, while the Bruins move on to the Final Four for the first time in the history of the program.
