Mark Pope is a man of his word.

The Kentucky head coach made headlines with his recent offer to cover fans’ gas money to drive to Milwaukee to see the Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament.

Unsurprisingly, word got around of the gas money offer, and Pope is getting a lot of requests. As he knows, March Madness is a big deal for Big Blue Nation.

Though he joked that it was not a smart move on his part, the UK coach is keeping his word. A reply from Pope’s office was posted to social media. Fans must provide proof of game tickets and confirm that no member of the party is in 9th-12th grade to avoid potential recruiting violations.

Kentucky, the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region, opens against Troy on Friday.
