Miles Kelly put on a terrific performance for the Auburn Tigers on Thursday, as he hit a school record 7 3’s in an NCAA Tournament game to help the Tigers advance with an 83-63 victory over Alabama State.

The Auburn guard got off to a blistering start from the floor, as he hit his first 3-pointer just over a minute into the game. By the 14:23 mark in the first half, he was already 4-of-4 from 3-point territory.

The game was played at Rupp Arena, which is home of the Kentucky Wildcats. This isn’t the first time that Kelly has had a big game at the area. On March 1, Auburn played at Kentucky, and knocked off the Wildcats in that game, 94-78. Once again, Kelly was on fire, as he scored 30 points, while going 9-of-14 from the 3-point line.

In the 2 games this year Kelly played at Rupp Arena, he went 16-of-29 from the 3-point line.

After the win against Alabama State, Kelly said he enjoys playing at Kentucky.

“I love these rims,” Kelly said. “I love Rupp Arena.”

Luckily for Kelly and Auburn, the Tigers will get to play another game at Rupp Arena on Saturday. They will take on the Creighton Blue Jays, who picked up a dominating victory against Louisville in the first game of the day.
