Mizzou lands transfer commitment from Jevon Porter, 5th Porter sibling to play at MU

Mizzou is adding a transfer from a familiar family.
Jevon Porter is coming home to Columbia. According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Porter is transferring to Missouri for the 2025-26 season.
Porter is one of 8 children. He’s the 5th sibling to play at Mizzou. Brothers Michael and Jontay and sisters Bri and Cierra also played for the Tigers.

As for Jevon, Mizzou will be his 3rd school. He began his career at Pepperdine in 2022. After 2 seasons, he transferred to LMU.
Porter has averaged double-digit points in all 3 seasons of his career for 13.3 points per game over 83 contests. He posted his highest average in the 2023-24 campaign at Pepperdine, averaging 16.5 points per game in 21 appearances, 18 starts.
This past season, Porter started 30-of-31 games, averaging 12.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game over 30.9 minutes. He shot 39.4%, bringing his career average down from 45.5% in 2 seasons at Pepperdine.
Mizzou will look to build on its 2024 trip to the NCAA Tournament as Dennis Gates enters Year 3.
