The NCAA set the table on Wednesday for March Madness 2027 and ’28 by announcing all the preliminary round sites for the 2 NCAA tournaments.

We’ll start with the 2027 NCAA Tournament. After the First Four in Dayton, Ohio, which has become a staple over the years, 1st- and 2nd-round games will be played in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Omaha, Nebraska, Louisville, Fort Worth, Texas, Sacramento and Spokane, Washington.

The regional sites in 2027 will be in New York (East Regional), Kansas City (Midwest), San Antonio (South) and Los Angeles (West).

For the 2028 NCAA Tournament, the action will once again begin with the First Four in Dayton, Ohio. Then the 1st- and 2nd-ranked games will be played in Brooklyn, Orlando. Columbus, Ohio, Des Moines, Iowa, Birmingham, Alabama, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Salt Lake City and Seattle.

That will lead up to the 4 regional sites, which are scheduled to take place in Raleigh, North Carolina (East Regional), Detroit (Midwest), Dallas (South) and San Francisco (West).

Obviously, Wednesday’s announcement did not include the sites of the 2027 and ’28 Final Four. Those have already been announced, with Detroit hosting the 2027 Final Four and Las Vegas hosting the 2028 event. It will be the 1st time Las Vegas has ever hosted a Final Four, providing a glitzy backdrop to a traditional event.
