Jim Boeheim’s lengthy tenure as the head coach at Syracuse has come to a close after a rough ending for the Orange.
Throughout the 2022-23 season, Boeheim engaged in multiple tense conversations with media members as Syracuse struggled throughout. He even had a weird press conference after a loss in the ACC Tournament before the program finally made Boeheim’s retirement official Tuesday evening.
At the time of his retirement, Boeheim was the active wins leader in NCAA basketball with 1,116, including 5 Final Four appearances and a national championship. With Boeheim now out of the Picture, Bob Huggins now tops the active wins list with 862.
