Ole Miss is doing work in the transfer portal to build its 2025-26 roster.
Chris Beard and his staff made it a two-for-Tuesday with commitments from Koren Johnson and AJ Storr. Johnson heads to Ole Miss from Louisville.
Johnson’s Cardinals experience did not go as planned. A shoulder injury sidelined him for all but 2 games of the 2024-25 campaign. Johnson will hope to be the player we last saw at Washington.
The 2025-26 season will be Year 4 for Johnson. He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Huskies.
In 2023-24, Johnson was named the Pac-12’s Sixth Man of the Year. He averaged 11.1 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game in his sophomore season while shooting 37.3% from 3-point territory. Johnson posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 83-42.
As a freshman, Johnson made 29 appearances for Washington. He averaged 6.8 points and 1.8 assists per game in a solid debut season.
