Peyton Marshall, Mizzou transfer big man, reveals ACC commitment

Peyton Marshall was a 4-star center out of Atlanta, Georgia, in the 2024 recruiting class, ultimately ending up at Mizzou with coach Dennis Gates.
After a freshman season that saw him appear in 22 games, he entered the NCAA transfer portal. Now the 7-foot, 300-pound big man has chosen a new school that’s closer to home.
Per Marshall’s social media account, he has committed to Georgia Tech to play for the Yellow Jackets during the 2025-26 season and beyond. Here’s a look at his post from Wednesday afternoon:
Marshall played in 22 games, averaging 4.4 minutes per contest as a reserve. He averaged 1 point and 1.1 rebounds per contest during his limited run.
The Tigers have added plenty of size in the transfer portal already this offseason, so perhaps Marshall felt a bigger role wasn’t in store for him this upcoming season in Columbia.
Now he returns back home to Atlanta to play for a Yellow Jackets squad that went 17-17 overall but did sport a somewhat impressive 10-10 record in ACC action. Damon Stoudamire will look to lead his squad to an even better record this coming season with Marshall and others now in the fold in Atlanta.
