Rebecca Lobo is a believer in South Carolina’s ability to get back to the Final Four this year.

Lobo shared her take after seeing South Carolina’s path to the title game on Sunday evening. South Carolina earned a No. 1 seed — although notably not the No. 1 overall seed — for the 5th consecutive NCAA Tournament.

Despite not having the top-overall seed this year, Lobo likes how South Carolina has been playing recently and believes the path to the Final Four is a “favorable” one.

“I think South Carolina fans have to feel really good going into this NCAA Tournament,” Lobo said on Sports Center. “One of the reasons is South Carolina is playing as well as any team in the country. We know they lost to UConn by 29 a few weeks back, but since then, this team has been on the ascent.

“I think you have to feel good about their bracket, their potential opponents. Their 2-seed is a Duke team that South Carolina beat in early December by 11. I think their path is a very good one, a very favorable one.”

The other top seeds in South Carolina’s region are No. 3-seeded North Carolina, No. 4-seeded Maryland and No. 5-seeded Alabama.

At BetMGM, South Carolina is the favorite to win the national title at +260. If you’re looking for a new sportsbook to use this March, here’s a breakdown of all the best sports betting apps on the market!
