SEC announces media’s preseason poll for upcoming 2018-19 basketball season

The ballots are in and Kentucky has been selected as the team to beat by the SEC’s media for the upcoming basketball season. The Wildcats just beat out Tennessee for the honor a season after defeating the Volunteers in the SEC Tournament from St. Louis.
The Wildcats are the overall preseason favorite for the 14th time since the 1998-99 season, according to the SEC.
The 2018-19 campaign begins November 6, with conference play set to begin January 5. The 2019 SEC Tournament will be March 13-17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
