Thomas Haugh makes decision on future after helping Florida to national title

Thomas Haugh was a huge part of the Florida run this season, as his big-time shooting helped the Gators win the national championship for the first time since 2007. While Walter Clayton got a lot of the talk during the NCAA Tournament, Haugh also had his share of big moments.
Arguably his biggest performance during the tournament was against Texas Tech in the Elite Eight. The Gators were down for much of that game, but Haugh caught fire from deep, scoring 20 points in a thrilling comeback win.
The Gators lose all 3 of their guards in Clayton, Alijah Martin and Will Richard. Haugh had a decision to make on whether or not if he was going to return. After taking time to make his decision, Haugh will be back in Gainesville next season, giving UF a key big as Alex Condon tests the NBA Draft waters and Sam Alexis continues his career at Indiana.
Haugh will be looked at as 1 of the best players in Florida, and maybe in the SEC. Even with his role last year, he still averaged 9.8 PPG and 6.1 RPG. If he is able to go have the type of season that coach Todd Golden and the Gators expect, he could be in store to possibly hear his name called in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
