Tre Donaldson has found his new home.

The experienced 6-3, 195-pound guard has picked Miami as his new home. He shared the news on social media, noting a return to his home state of Florida.

Donaldson, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, spent the first 2 seasons of his career at Auburn. In 2022-23, he was a bench contributor for the Tigers. He made 10 starts during AU’s 2023-24 campaign.

In his time on The Plains, Donaldson had 12 double-figure scoring games, 6 games of 5+ rebounds and 9 games of 5+ assists. He averaged 6.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists over 19.2 minutes per game in the 2023-24 season.

In his lone season at Michigan, Donaldson started all 37 games for the Wolverines in 2024-25. He posted the best numbers of his career, including 11.3 points per game (career high), 3.5 rebounds per game (career high), 4.1 assists per game (career high, team best) over 31.1 minutes per game (team best).

Donaldson is another splash portal addition for new Miami head coach Jai Lucas, who recently landed Indiana transfer Mailk Reneau. He brings postseason experience to Coral Gables, having played in the last 3 NCAA Tournaments.
