Treysen Eaglestaff is a former North Dakota guard who made a name for himself this past season by scoring 40 points in a 97-90 loss to Alabama earlier this season.

Now he’s one of the top names in the transfer portal after a season in which he averaged 18.9 points per game (good for a tie for the third-most points per game in the Summit League). He also averaged 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.

Naturally, having shown he can have big games on the biggest stage against top opponents, he’s drawing plenty of interest in the portal. Per his agent, a total of 9 SEC basketball teams have reached out to Eaglestaff. Those 9 SEC squads are:

Eaglestaff was a junior for North Dakota this season, starting in all 33 games for the Fighting Hawks, who finished in 6th place in the Summit League.

Where will he end up? He seems destined for a big-name program ahead of the 2025-26 season. We’ve seen guards like Mark Sears of Alabama jump from the mid-major ranks to the SEC with a great deal of success. We’ll see if Eaglestaff can do the same.
