Ugliest shot of the year: Sun Belt tournament featured 3-point attempt way off target

When a basketball player has a wide-open look, it should be a high-percentage shot. A wide-open look from behind the 3-point line, however, produced one of the ugliest shots of the year during Friday night’s South Alabama-ULM game.
As you can see in the clip below, this looks like a promising possession for ULM, but the Warhawks misfires and the ball misses the rim by a mile, hitting high off the backboard.

South Alabama won the Sun Belt tournament opener 80-72 over ULM. At least that missed 3-pointer wasn’t the deciding factor for ULM.
