Zvonimir Ivisic has played under John Calipari for the last 2 seasons to begin his college basketball career. Now, he’s heading to the Big Ten to continue his career under a new head coach.

Last season, he was in Lexington and playing under Calipari with Kentucky, but Ivisic followed the head coach to Arkansas for this season. He averaged 8.5 PPG and 4.3 RPG while shooting 38% from the 3-point line this season for the Razorbacks. However, his minutes started to dwindle late in the year, and he scored only 2 points in the NCAA Tournament as Arkansas went on a surprise run to the Sweet 16.

He made news when he entered the transfer portal, and Ivisic announced that he is heading to join up with his brother Tomislav at Illinois. To punctuate the decision, Tomislav confirmed on social media that he is returning to the Illini after a strong freshman season.

The twin brothers will give coach Brad Underwood a pair of 7-foot centers that can hurt you from both inside the paint, as well as outside on the perimeter. Tomislav finished the season with 13.0 PPG, 7.7 RPG and 2.3 APG. He is a difficult matchup to prepare for, as he also shoots 36% from the 3-point line.

Zvonimir is the first player to commit to Illinois during the 2025 transfer portal season, but he could team up with his brother to create a similar 7-foot duo that Dusty May had at Michigan this season.
