Now that Week 4 is officially in the books, let’s look at the 10 biggest stories you may have missed during the weekend:
1. A Southern player was badly injured in his team’s defeat to Georgia. The Bulldogs paid for his parents to fly to Athens, where the player had a successful surgery.
2. Florida and Mississippi State entered the AP Top 25 poll, while Missouri dropped out after its loss to Kentucky.
3. Auburn fell to the Bulldogs, and the No. 1 JUCO prospect de-committed from the Tigers.
4. Leonard Fournette continued to impress in LSU’s win, and Shaq picked the sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.
5. Tennessee lost its 11th straight game to Florida, and Vols message boards got ugly.
6. Texas A&M came back to beat Arkansas in overtime, prompting someone to create this hilarious Craigslist ad.
7. Former Georgia RB Todd Gurley made his NFL debut for the St. Louis Rams but not before part of the team’s turf caught on fire.
8. Ole Miss had a hard-fought win over Vanderbilt, and the Oxford police department took a Twitter shot at former Florida coach Urban Meyer afterward.
9. Alabama’s defense dominates Louisiana Monroe in a shutout.
10. South Carolina took care of Central Florida, and Pharoh Cooper had an amazing 29-yard touchdown run.
