On the fifth day of Christmas, the SEC gave to us:
Five Top 15 Teams
Okay, so I had to stretch this one a little bit, considering Missouri is ranked 16 in both the CFP Poll and the AP poll but they are ranked 15 in the Coaches Poll, so it works. Missouri didn’t get much love this season, despite winning the SEC East for the second year in a row. Losing to Indiana certainly didn’t help their case. That being said, it is clear that the SEC is still in a class by itself. Sending twelve teams to bowl games is a phenomenal feat, and should the SEC post a strong record in those games, its argument for supremacy will only get stronger. Sure, the East suffered a bad end to the season at the hands of the ACC, but those teams will be able to bounce back with a bowl victory. Regardless, the SEC has brought us another successful season as the best league in the country and it will certainly prove it again in 2015.
Day Four: Four Losing Records
Day Three: Three New Year’s Six
Day Two: Gary and Verne Love
Day One: A Berth in the Playoffs
Worked for the internet in Los Angeles before being lured back to Florida by SEC football and the promise of a bourbon bar. When he's not internetting or watching football, he's probably out giving himself 4-footers on the golf course.
