On the third day of Christmas, the SEC gave to us:
Three New Year’s Six
Three New Year’s Six bowls to be precise. Sometimes the syllables just don’t match up with the actual song. Anyway, on to the bowl games.
In the first year of the newly dubbed bowl games, the SEC has more teams represented than any other conference. Ole Miss will be taking on TCU in the Peach Bowl. TCU is likely upset that they did not receive a berth in the playoff despite being ranked 3rd with a week to play, so Ole Miss should not take the Horned Frogs lightly. Mississippi State will face Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. The Bulldogs just recently came to an agreement with the Orange Bowl regarding the use of cowbells, which require fans to stop ringing them once the center is over the ball. Lastly, Alabama will be representing the SEC in the inaugural College Football Playoff against Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. The Crimson Tide will be looking to start a new streak of SEC teams winning the national championship.
Day Two: Gary and Verne Love
Day One: A Berth in the Playoffs
Worked for the internet in Los Angeles before being lured back to Florida by SEC football and the promise of a bourbon bar. When he's not internetting or watching football, he's probably out giving himself 4-footers on the golf course.
