14 SEC commits headline Scout’s first 2018 class rankings

Most teams are feverishly working on their 2017 recruiting classes right now, but the class of 2018 will soon start making headlines.
Scout just released its rankings of the top 300 players in the 2018 class. Of the 300, 38 have already committed to a college team.
Of those 38, 14 are committed to SEC schools. Seven SEC schools — Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M — have received commitments from at least one of the top 300 players, according to a post on collegespun.com.
LSU leads the way with commitments from five players, while Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M have two each.
