A couple of Auburn players had a busy day in the NFL on Friday.

According to Al.com, former Auburn fullback Jay Prosch was released by the Houston Texans, as the team continued to work their way down from the 90-player preseason roster to the maximum 53.

Prosch played his first two seasons in college at Illinois before transferring to Auburn for his junior and senior years. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. While Prosch was released, his $1 million base salary for 2018 is still guaranteed.

Also on Friday, former Auburn offensive lineman Shon Coleman was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2019 seventh-round pick.

Coleman started all 16 games in Cleveland last season at right tackle. According to clevelandbrowns.com, Coleman shifted to the left side to compete with others to fill the gap future Hall of Famer Joe Thomas left when he retired. After a week of training camp, Coleman was dropped down to the second-team offense.

Coleman was selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft and appeared in 23 games over two seasons with the Browns.
