After reports that both Boise State and San Diego State were exploring potential realignment options, both teams have decided to stay in the Mountain West, it seems.
There was some speculation after the AAC lost Cincinnati, Houston and UCF to the Big 12 that the conference would be already looking for replacements.
The news was reported by Yahoo’s Pete Thamel on Twitter on Thursday.
Sources: Boise State and San Diego State informed the Mountain West today that they intend to stay in the conference.

While it looks like the AAC will miss out on Boise State and San Diego State, there are still teams looking to join its ranks.
Reportedly Colorado State and Air Force are looking to potentially join the AAC, but only time will tell.
