Alex Golesh, a Broyles Award semifinalist who led the Tennessee offense to heights it hadn’t seen in decades and helped the Volunteers’ attack shatter a ton of school records as its offensive coordinator, is reportedly bringing with him 2 Tennessee assistants as he pieces together his new staff at South Florida.
FootballScoop reported Thursday that Golesh, who is still deciding on his new offensive coordinator in Tampa, has added a few offensive assistants just a few days after taking the Bulls head coaching job.
Jack Taylor, who was a full-time offensive analyst with the Volunteers, is reportedly leaving Knoxville to join Golesh’s 1st staff as South Florida’s tight ends coach.
Taylor worked with Golesh and then-head coach Josh Heupel at UCF before following both coaches to Tennessee. Taylor has also spent time at SMU as an offensive analyst.
Meanwhile, Tyler Hudanick, a graduate assistant at Tennessee in recent years while working on the offensive side of the ball with Golesh, is set to become South Florida’s new offensive line coach.
Dan Haralson of VolsWire also reported Hudanick’s departure. Hudanick is a former offensive lineman at UCF who started almost every game during his senior season for the Knights.
