Chauncey Gardner, one of the defensive standouts in Florida’s 2016 recruiting class, has signed financial aid papers as a midyear enrollee with the Gators, according to head coach Jim McElwain:

Gardner, a 6-foot, 195-pound defensive back out of Cocoa, Fla., is a four-star prospect who could compete for immediate playing time in the secondary.
Florida’s 23-member recruiting class is ranked 10th nationally by 247Sports.
