We are only through Week 4 of the 2019 college football season, but talk of who will and won’t be in the College Football Playoff is already ramping up.
Per the AllState Playoff Predictor, some teams have an easier path to the playoff than others.
Clemson, who will not face a currently ranked team until at least the ACC Championship Game, has a 77% chance of getting into the playoff for the fifth straight year and to try and repeat as champion. Runner-ups last season, Alabama is listed at 71%. The Crimson Tide have two games with top 10 teams, LSU and Auburn, left on the schedule.
Georgia, trying to get back to the playoff after a year hiatus, comes in at 47%. The Bulldogs, fresh off a victory over then-No. 7 Notre Dame, also have two top 10 matchups left as they take on Florida in the annual rivalry game in Jacksonville and then travel to Auburn in November.
The Bayou Bengals, who have an impressive victory at Texas on its resume, has a 33% chance with games against Auburn and Alabama left on the schedule. Auburn (15%) has the toughest run left for a contender as the Tigers travel to LSU and Florida and host Georgia and Alabama, all four teams currently in the top 10.
