A high-profile 2023 tight end prospect has narrowed his list of schools and set a decision date in his recruitment.

Ethan Davis, a 4-star tight end from Collins Hill (Ga.) High School in Suwanee, announced on Monday that he intends to commit on Dec. 12. He tweeted his top 7 as well.

Four SEC schools made the cut, as well as Cincinnati, Penn State, and Florida State. Should Davis land in the SEC, he’ll decide between Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Ole Miss.

In the 247Sports Composite, Davis is rated as the No. 14 player in the state of Georgia for his class. He’s also the 9th-ranked tight end prospect and a top-150 recruit nationally.

A 2-sport athlete with power conference offers both in football and basketball, Davis took an unofficial visit most recently to Georgia on Nov. 6 for the game against Missouri. According to his MaxPreps page, he had 45 catches for 579 yards and 6 touchdowns during the 2021 season.
