Alabama basketball got a big victory in the middle of September.

Long before the Crimson Tide play their 1st game in early November, head coach Nate Oats got a commitment from top-40 recruit London Jemison, according to On3Recruits. The 6-8 forward chose Alabama over Kansas and Louisville.

Jemison is a 4-star talent in the 2025 class who plays at St. Thomas More High School in Oakdale, Connecticut.

Jemison is the No. 38 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Jemison is also the 9th-ranked power forward prospect and the top-ranked recruit out of the state of Connecticut.

“I chose Alabama because it is a perfect stylistic fit for me when it comes to their offensive structure and beliefs as well as their developmental plan for me,” said Jemison. “It also means a lot to me that they are consistent winners.”

Jemison is joining a Crimson Tide program that advanced to the 1st Final Four in its history in 2024, 1 year after being a heavy favorite in the 2023 NCAA Tournament and getting to the Sweet 16.

“I am putting my trust in Nate Oats due to his proven success of winning and in developing players of my archetype,” said Jemison.

Jemison joins 4-star forward Amari Allen in Alabama’s 2025 class. Allen committed to Alabama on Sept. 10.
