Kempner (Sugar Land, Texas) offensive lineman Akinola Ogunbiyi provided a major SEC recruiting shakeup Sunday when he announced he was flipping his commitment from Georgia back to Texas A&M.
Listed at over 6-3 and 329 pounds, Ogunbiyi is a 4-star recruit, rated the No. 11 offensive guard, No. 42 Texas product and No. 248 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. He originally committed to the Aggies on June 2, 2018, but backed off that pledge on March 7, 2019. He visited Georgia twice in April and committed to the Bulldogs on April 20. Now, he’s committed to Jimbo Fisher once again.
Texas A&M now has 12 commitments in its 2020 class, ranked No. 7 in the SEC and No. 16 nationally on the Composite before the addition of Ogunbiyi.
