Will Muschamp got an early victory as he settles into his new in-state rivalry with Clemson.
Bryan Edwards, a four-star wide receiver for the Class of 2016, has committed to South Carolina over Clemson, Florida and Georgia among other schools.
The 6-foot-3, 208-pound prospect out of Conway, S.C., is ranked as the No. 3 player in the state, according to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.

South Carolina now has 13 commitments for 2016. Edwards is the Gamecocks’ second four-star prospect in the class, according to 247Sports, joining dual-threat QB Brandon McIlwain.
