In his final game as a Volunteer, Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs will have a shot at several school bowl-game records.
On Friday in the Music City Bowl (3:30 Eastern, ESPN), Dobbs will look to add to his 83 career touchdowns (52 passing, 29 rushing, 2 receiving) as the Volunteers seek their first-ever win over Nebraska.
Dobbs, based on his track record, has a legitimate shot at several school bowl-game milestones, including these:
Total offense: 416 yards
- Peyton Manning, 1997 Citrus Bowl vs. Northwestern
Like Dobbs and Tennessee did in the 2016 Outback Bowl, Manning torched Northwestern in a bowl game. A junior at the time, Manning threw for 408 of his 416 total yards in a 48-28 victory some thought would be his final college game. The future two-time Super Bowl champion announced a couple months later that he would return for his senior season.
Dobbs has totaled 400-plus yards four times in his 36-game career. He also came close to 400 total yards against Florida (399), Kentucky (370) and Vanderbilt (393) this season.

2014 at South Carolina: 467 (301 passing, 166 rushing)
2015 vs. Georgia: 430 (312 passing, 118 rushing)
2016 at Texas A&M: 459 (398 passing, 57 rushing, 4 receiving)

- James Stewart, 1994 Gator Bowl vs. Virginia Tech
Dobbs has been productive with his legs throughout his Tennessee career. He has eight career two-touchdown games and one game scoring three rushing touchdowns. Last year in the Outback Bowl against Northwestern, Dobbs ran for two touchdowns.
Nebraska has given up one three-rushing-touchdown game this season, to Oregon running back Tony Brooks-James on Sept. 17.

- Casey Clausen, 2004 Peach Bowl vs. Clemson
Casey Clausen ended his Tennessee career in the Georgia Dome against Clemson. The second-winningest quarterback in school history attempted 55 passes to go along with 12 rushing attempts. If Dobbs gets involved in a competitive, high-scoring game against Nebraska, he could have a shot.

Dobbs is no stranger to five-touchdown games, having reached the mark six times, all victories. He has never exceeded five.
J.T. Barrett had four total touchdowns in Ohio State’s 62-3 victory over the Cornhuskers this season. Barrett did not have a chance at five or more as he was replaced by his backup in the blowout win.
