Javon Kinlaw got a positive update after the defensive tackle tore his ACL last season and has been dealing with a knee injury this season.
San Fransisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that he expects Kinlaw will be available for the 49ers game on Saturday against the Washington Commanders.
Shanahan said he had a good practice with no setbacks and that he expects him to be good to go for Saturday’s game.
Kinlaw spent three seasons with South Carolina from 2017 to 2019 where he recorded 82 total tackles and 10 sacks. He was taken 14th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Despite the injuries setting him back, he has had a successful young NFL career so far, recording 16 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The 49ers are currently 10-4 and sit atop the NFC West.
