Today’s Iron Bowl rivalry matchup between Alabama and Auburn won’t have the national spotlight the way it has in many years.

Nick Saban and The Crimson Tide enter the game with 2 losses for the first time since 2010 and likely out of the picture for a College Football Playoff berth.

The Tigers, meanwhile, have struggled through a tumultuous year.

Auburn (5-6) fired head coach Bryan Harsin in late October.

And despite winning their last 2 games, most of the attention on the Tigers in recent days has been related to their coaching search, which appears to be zeroing in on Hugh Freeze.

All that said, while the talent level might not match some recent Iron Bowls, here’s still plenty of talent on both rosters. And several NFL scouts will be at the game today to see those top players in action.

Alabama and Auburn are set for a 3:30 p.m. (ET) kick off. The game will be televised by CBS and the Crimson Tide are 22-point favorites.
