ACC/SEC Challenge, Wednesday, Nov. 29: Matchup details and broadcast information
ACC/SEC Challenge Day 2 is here and with it comes a fun slate of games.
This year is the first for the ACC/SEC Challenge for ESPN with the recent shakeup of broadcast rights. For the past 23 years, before this year, the ACC/Big Ten Challenge ran for 23 years and the SEC/Big 12 Challenge had been played since 2013.
While those previously existing challenges made for some fun games, the ACC/SEC Challenge has already been exciting.
After Tuesday night’s slate of games, the SEC currently leads the challenge 4-3. The premier game on Tuesday was No. 8 Miami vs. No. 12 Kentucky, and the Wildcats came up with a huge win.
Here’s a full list of scores from the first day of the ACC/SEC Challenge:
- No. 21 Mississippi State 59, Georgia Tech 67
- Notre Dame 53, South Carolina 65
- LSU 57, Syracuse 80
- No. 8 Miami 73, No. 12 Kentucky 95
- Missouri 71, Pittsburgh 64
- NC State 52, Ole Miss 72
- Clemson 85, No. 23 Alabama 77
Wednesday’s games bring a handful of fun matchups as well.
No. 10 Tennessee and No. 17 North Carolina will tip-off the day with a top-25 matchup. It will be the third ranked matchup in a row for the Vols and a litmus test for two teams that could make a deep run in March.
Wednesday will bring a handful of ranked teams looking to avoid an upset. No. 14 Texas A&M will take on Virginia and No. 7 Duke will battle it with Arkansas, which has already faced North Carolina this season.
The games might not have too much meaning aside from getting a resume builder, both conferences are looking to pick up braggin rights by winning the challenge, as well as get a signature win under their belt early on.
