Just two running backs have lifted the Heisman Trophy in the last 15 years. Ron Dayne took home the award in 1999 and 10 years later, Alabama running back Mark Ingram won it in 2009.
Now, after two weeks of the college football season, another running back has vaulted to the top of the board in Las Vegas.
According to Bovada Las Vegas, Georgia tailback Todd Gurley is now the favorite to win the award at 5/1. Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota had been the favorite, but with the newly-released odds, both he and Texas A&M signal caller Kenny Hill come in at 15/2.
At 5/1 Todd Gurley is the new #Heisman favorite, per @BovadaLV. Marcus Mariota, Kenny Hill tied at 15/2 odds.
