After his AD leaves for Florida, Dan Mullen throws playful jab at Gators

On Tuesday, former Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin was named to the same position at Florida.
Stricklin is replacing Jeremy Foley — who held the post for the past 25 years. Not only did Stricklin work to hire current MSU head basketball coach Ben Howland, but he also was part of the team that brought on current Bulldogs’ head football coach Dan Mullen, who also used to an assistant at Florida under Urban Meyer.
Mullen, who said he had a great working relationship with Stricklin, was asked about his athletic director leaving for Florida, and he offered this playful jab:

And you know what? Mullen is right. From 2010-2015, Mississippi State won 50 games, while Florida won 47 during the same time.
While Mullen has done a great job in Starkville, Stricklin can only hope the Florida football program will continue to operate at a steady incline under his leadership.
