After another disappointing loss, fans ready to move on from Derek Mason

Vanderbilt is off to a rough start this season as the Commodores fell to 34-10 against UNLV to drop to a 1-5 record on the season.
The Commodores have faced issues across the board, from play at quarterback, struggles on the offensive line, and getting the ball to key skill players enough.
The loss on Saturday drops coach Derek Mason’s record to 25-43 in his sixth year in Nashville. It was especially troubling against a team in a similar position as Vanderbilt. UNLV got just its second win of the season.
UNLV reeled of 17 points in the second quarter to take a 24-10 lead at halftime, then outscored the Commodores 10-0 in the second half, with all of the scoring in the fourth quarter.
Fans are ready to move on from Mason, and find a new leader for the program:
Put Derek Mason out of his misery as soon as this goes final. He’ll be better off… so will Vanderbilt. This is embarrassing to watch. A 1-4 UNLV team boat racing the Dories at “home.” He’s a DC – let him go do that job well somewhere else and pull the ripcord on this thing.

Soooo when does Vandy fire Derek Mason? It’s been embarrassment year after year and they seem okay with it 😂

Wild take: Vandy cans Derek Mason and hires Hugh Freeze from Liberty. What do the Vandy fans think about this (all 5 of you)?

Derek Mason will be just fine. He’s a great man that will make nearly 25 million dollars from VU. He will bounce back. I feel for the families and other coaches that may not get that chance.

Vanderbilt losing 17-7 to UNLV. Does Derek Mason survive this season if it holds?

UNLV gets their 1st win over a Power-5 school in 11 years, beating Vanderbilt 34-10.
I really like Derek Mason, but changes are needed on West End. @JMartZone

I’ve said multiple times that Derek Mason is the worst D1 coach in the country and this certainly helps my case https://t.co/8r9LItF6LU

The biggest mistake Derek Mason made was to promote Gdowski to OC.
We all knew that was a huge mistake when it was announced.
