Agiye Hall has been indefinitely suspended after his late Thursday arrest by university police on criminal mischief charges. Steve Sarkisian made the announcement of Hall’s suspension Friday afternoon:

This is a really tough break for Hall, who transferred from Alabama this offseason.
Also on Friday afternoon, some details of the arrest emerged.
According to the UT police report, the damage caused by Agiye Hall was a $600 “vehicle boot.”

A police boot is a tool that is used when a vehicle is to be impounded. Using a boot can stem from unpaid parking tickets or being illegally parked on the street or in a parking lot. Details of what the damage was or how it occurred aren’t known at this time, but damaging police property is a big deal. What comes next for Hall is unknown at this time, but it’s a bad way to start with a new program.
