AJ Brown will not take the field in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons as the former Ole Miss wideout continues to work through a hamstring injury.

Brown’s status was downgraded to out when Philadelphia released its latest injury report Sunday. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Saturday that Brown’s hamstring tightened up during practice.

Brown finished out last week’s game against the Green Pay Packers with 5 catches for 119 yards and 1 touchdown.

Tight end Dallas Goedert and wide receiver DeVonta Smith should expect to see a higher workload in Brown’s absence. Smith stepped up in Brown’s absence in a big way when he was called upon to do so against the Buccaneers in last year’s Wild Card game, reeling in 8 receptions for 148 yards.

There’s also the question as to if pass-catcher Jahan Dotson, who became a member of the Eagles in the preseason, will also carry larger responsibility here.

The Eagles and the Falcons are set to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET in Philadelphia on Monday.
