Alabama adds elite off-field recruiter who has track record of securing top classes
By Keith Farner
Published:
Alabama is expected to hire TCU’s Eron Hodges as an associate director of player personnel, as he’s a proven off-the-field recruiter who has had loads of success around the country.
Hodges has been a key behind-the-scenes figure for TCU as a recruiting coordinator and defensive quality control staffer working with cornerbacks. He previously worked at Ohio State under Urban Meyer, along with Purdue, Louisville and Texas Tech.
Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports noted that Hodges helped Purdue recruit its best class in 247Sports history, and he was part of the highest-rated class in TCU history as well.
He joined the Buckeyes’ recruiting staff as an analyst in 2015 after previously serving as a strength and conditioning coach.
