Alabama and Ole Miss fans upset College GameDay isn’t heading to Tuscaloosa

It seemed like a rather obvious choice. Surely, College GameDay would be in Alabama for the Ole Miss game. That won’t be the case.
The ESPN pregame show announced it is heading to Athens, Georgia, where Arkansas will take on Georgia on Saturday. There are certainly good storylines there. Arkansas is one of the most surprising teams in the nation after wins against Texas A&M and Texas. The Razorbacks and Bulldog are both undefeated. Arkansas coach Sam Pittman was formerly Georgia’s offensive line coach. However, that doesn’t seem nearly as newsworthy as what will be going on in Alabama on Saturday.
The Alabama-Ole Miss game also has a coach returning to his former team. Lane Kiffin returns to Tuscaloosa for the first time as Ole Miss’s head coach. He was formerly the offensive coordinator at Alabama and was a big part of the reason why Alabama’s team went from its traditional running offense to a fast-tempo passing attack.
Kiffin and Alabama also are polarizing. Most fans either love them or hate them. Both teams are also undefeated.
It seems the better game is about 100 miles west of where College GameDay will broadcast from. Many fans on Twitter think GameDay made the wrong choice:
Ole miss bama was the better choice.

I love UGA.
I love Athens.
I love College Gameday.
That being said @CollegeGameDay should be in Tuscaloosa for Ole Miss v Alabama. Way bigger game with a possibility for upset and the top two heisman candidates going head to head.#collegegameday #CFB #CFP

2 Heisman front runners, Saban vs. Kiffin, in Tuscaloosa and this is what y’all choose? Joke.
