Alabama assistant Michael Locksley announces Celebration of Life event for his son
Meiko Anthony Locksley, son of Alabama assistant coach Michael Locksley, was killed in Columbia, Maryland, on Sunday night.
The investigation is ongoing, as Meiko was shot by an unknown assailant. Many are aware of the tragic situation, including Michael’s boss, Nick Saban.
Saban announced the heartbreaking news during his Monday press conference.
‘I just want everyone to understand that our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike and his family,’ Saban said. ‘We will do everything we can to support him during this time.’
The Alabama assistant announced to twitter the funeral plans for his son and titled the picture “Celebration of Life.”

Locksley holds the title as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Alabama and was a former assistant and interim head coach at Maryland.
