Alabama accomplished an incredible feat Sunday with one swing of the bat. Colby Shelton smacked a ball to right center, clearing the outfield wall for his 5th home run of the weekend series. It also happened to be his 2nd grand slam, relevant because it marked the 4th straight game with an Alabama player hitting a grand slam.

Alabama’s previous record for most consecutive games with a grand slam was set in 2000, when the Tide recorded 3 straight games with a slam.

And 4-straight is going to be hard to top any time soon.

The Crimson Tide is off to a strong start this season in the non-conference schedule. The Tide have not played any juggernauts to start the year, but Alabama is one of few teams that has started the season undefeated, boasting a 12-0 record. The Tide just finished a sweep of UIC, winning 9-7 Sunday evening.

Alabama is back in action Tuesday against Samford.
