Alabama baseball had a win for the ages on Sunday, overcoming an early 10-0 deficit to defeat Ohio State on a walk-off 3-run home run winning the Jax College Baseball Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. Now, though, at least one Crimson Tide player is apologizing for UA’s postgame actions.

Alabama players posed for a group photo all making an obscene gesture. The photo was posted on Snapchat with an explicit message directed at the Buckeyes.

Alabama pitcher Riley Quick took to X (formerly Twitter) to apologize for taking and posting the photo. He says he is reaching out to Ohio State.

After our game today, we let our emotions get the best of us and posted an inappropriate photo on social media. The photo never should have happened, let alone be posted,” Quick wrote in the posted note “I am reaching out to Ohio State to personally apologize. I also want to apologize for representing the University of Alabama in a negative way. This is now what our team is about. We have learned from this and will be better going forward.

Quick played a key role in Alabama’s 4-0 win over No. 12 NC State on Saturday. He threw 4 scoreless innings, walking 1 and allowing just 1 hit while striking out 4.
