Four-star LB Christopher Allen committed to Alabama on Nov. 27, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about playing for the hometown Tigers.

The Baton Rouge native shared a photo himself in an LSU uniform accompanied by a tweet about the appeal of staying home.

Allen officially visited the Tigers, the weekend of Jan. 13 and acknowledged that it’s a close recruiting battle.

“It means a heck of a lot to me,” Allen said on the Culotta & The Fan show on 104.5/104.9 ESPN-FM in Baton Rouge last week. “It’s been a team that I have been watching since I was a little boy. When I was young, I dreamed of playing for the LSU Tigers. So, it’s a big deal.”

If any team can flip him from Alabama, it will be LSU.

“They’re pretty close,” Allen told the show. “I’ve been thinking about them more than ever, so. They (LSU) have a chance.”

He explained his original pick by pointing to UA’s six-game winning streak.

“Mainly because, probably, every year … they’re beating LSU. And they’re winning national championships,” Allen said.

One would expect that with those comments, Tigers coaches are likely pitching that Allen could be a difference maker in the rivalry, and help his hometown beat Alabama for the first time since the 2011 regular season. Allen is rated the No. 106 overall recruit, No. 8 outside linebacker and No. 5 Louisiana prospect by the 247Sports Composite.

If Allen makes the late flip, here’s what LSU fans can expect to see in purple and gold:
