Alabama has been looking to add to its offense, as the team will be having a new quarterback under center with Jalen Milroe moving on to the NFL. Regardless of who gets the job, coach Kalen DeBoer has made it an emphasis to continue to bring talent on that side of the ball through the transfer portal.

Earlier this week, the Crimson Tide brought in tight end Jack Sammarco from West Virginia. On Thursday, Alabama continued to add depth to the tight end position as Brody Dalton announced he was transferring from Troy.

Dalton was 1 of the top tight ends in the transfer portal, and he gives Alabama another guy who can help out at that position. Last season at Troy, he had 15 catches for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. At 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, he is able to create a ton of mismatches. He should see a lot of 1-on-1 coverage in the middle of the field, as opposing teams will have to have help against sophomore sensation receiver Ryan Williams.

The quarterback competition Keelon Russell, Austin Mack and Ty Simpson is going to be one of the most competitive battles all off-season. Regardless of who wins that battle, DeBoer and his staff are putting together a strong supporting cast on that side of the ball.
