Alabama lands recent Texas A&M decommit Bobby Brown

Alabama landed another big-time prospect on Friday night.

Bobby Brown, a 4-star defensive tackle in the class of 2018, pledged his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

The Arlington, Texas native is rated as the nation’s No. 16 defensive tackle and is the No. 17 prospect in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Brown is a 6-foot-4, 282-pound prospect who decommitted from Texas A&M on Wednesday night. He had been committed to the Aggies since Oct. 27.

At the time, he posted on Twitter that he needed to “look into what’s better for me.”

He’s had an offer on the table from Alabama since March.

“Brown possesses good height and excellent frame length. Position- and scheme-versatility are two of his best traits as well. He’s raw, but his physical tools are hard to find,” his 247Sports profile evaluation said.
