Alabama now has nation’s No. 1 in recruiting class after latest elite commitment

Alabama is used to being No. 1 in the nation. The Crimson Tide achieved that feat once again via its latest pickup in recruiting.
Bama received a commitment from Jaleel Skinner on Friday to surpass Penn State as the top recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
Skinner becomes Bama’s 16th commitment of the 2022 class. The tight end from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is considered the top prospect at his position in the country and the 74the best overall prospect in the nation.
Skinner had taken visits to Florida, Florida State, Miami and Texas before committing to Alabama. Skinner is listed at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds and is the No. 10 prospect in the state of Florida.
Skinner is rated as a four-star prospect. Bama has 11 commitments that are classified as four-star propsects. Bama also has two five-star prospects that are committed for 2022. Georgia’s 2022 class is rated as the second-best group of commitments in the SEC. The Bulldogs are fifth in the country.
