Phil Jurkovec, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound native of Gibsonia, Penn., becomes the fourth scholarship offered to a quarterback from the ’18 class for the Crimson Tide, joining Jack West, Trevor Lawrence and Allan Walters.
Jurkovec is a 4-star prospect and the No. 3 overall recruit from the state of Pennsylvania, per 247Sports.
As a sophomore in 2015, Jurkovec threw for 2,560 yards and 20 touchdowns, adding 1,250 yards and additional 11 scores as a runner.
Alabama recently signed 4-star QB Jalen Hurts, who was the No. 3 dual-threat from the class of ’16. However, the Crimson Tide do not have a quarterback commitment for either the 2017 or ’18 class.
