Sophomore Bryce Young did something against Tennessee that has never been done by an Alabama quarterback.

The SEC just announced that the first-year starting quarterback became the first ever Alabama player to throw for 350 yards or more and run for 2 touchdowns in one game.

Although the game was close initially, Bama eventually beat the Vols 52-24, in part, because the Crimson Tide outscored Tennessee 28-7 in the fourth quarter.

Here are some the highlights:

As one would expect, Alabama head coach Nick Saban was pleased with Young’s play.

“Bryce really played well in the game,” Saban said in his postgame press conference. “I think he got frustrated a couple times. But he was very consistent. He made some big plays; we made some big plays. We missed a couple other big plays that we could have made.
