Alabama QB commit Ty Simpson leads HS team to Tennessee state title

Alabama is having itself a weekend. First, the Tide won the SEC Championship Game over Georgia. Then, the men’s basketball team took down No. 3 Gonzaga on Saturday night.
Also among the good news for the Tide is a member of the incoming recruiting class — 5-star 2022 QB Ty Simpson out of Tennessee — led his high school team to a state title.
Simpson had 2 running scores and 3 passing touchdowns in the game, a 55-14 victory for his Westview High School squad:

Simpson posted a picture of himself with the state title trophy on Twitter after the game:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Simpson is the No. 23 overall player in the 2022 class, the No. 3 quarterback and the No. 2 player from Tennessee.
